Raspberry chia seed jam is the perfect alternative to store-bought jam. It's super quick & easy to make, thickened with chia seeds (instead of sugar), and totally delicious.

    SPREAD THE LOVE

Jam wasn't a staple in our pantry growing up, but lately I've been spreading it on EVERYTHING. From pancakes, to granola, even yogurt parfaits! I've been hooked on raspberry jam, but you can use any fruit you'd like, fresh or frozen, to make this.

    WHY CHIA SEEDS?

✅ Natural thickener = no need for added sugar

    ✅ Omega-3's for heart health

    ✅ Complete protein source

✅ 5g of fiber in just 1 tbsp

    Ingredients

    • 1 cup frozen raspberries
    • 1 tablespoon honey
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, optional
    • 1 tablespoon chia seeds

    Instructions

    • Heat raspberries in a small saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until the fruit is heated through and begins to break down and bubble.  Use a wooden spoon or fork to mash the fruit.
    • Remove from heat, mix in honey and vanilla extract. Add chia seeds and stir to combine. Let stand for 5 minutes or it begins to thicken.
    • Use immediately or transfer to a mason jar and keep refrigerated.

    Notes

    HONEY:
Since raspberries can be tart, slowly add additional honey until reaching desired taste.
